Three North Bay Y Titans qualified and were selected to represent the North Eastern Ontario Regional AllStars at the Varsity/Neor All Star Meet in Sudbury this past weekend. The meet brought together several universities from across Ontario. Leading the way was Bryanna Penno with four top four finishes including a gold in the 100 meter butterfly; a silver in the 200 meter breaststroke; and bronze in the 100 meter breaststroke. Ashley Duquette brought home two top ten finishes in the 50 and 100 meter butterfly. Nicole Plumb one of the youngest and a first time competitor at this meet grabbed two top fifteen finishes. The Titans will continue to train for their next meet being held in North Bay at the end of the month. |

Members of the North Bay Y Titan Swim team participated in their first competition of the season over the weekend. Sending 23 swimmers to the Neor Developmental meet in Sudbury, the team came out strong landing several swimmers in the top-three placings. Those swimmers included Kelton Baran, Angelina Bolchakova-Racine, Dominique Bouchard, Samantha Cowan, Ashley Duquette, Renee Gagnon, Max Giesler, Kristen Gough, Jennifer Leckie, Grace Liritzis, Hutton Noth, Brittany Pask, Bryanna Penno, Nicole Plumb, Jeremy Sallie and Katherine Tripp. Other swimmers achieving Top-10 finishes were Kristen Lazarou, Rochelle Leppert, Max Sherry, and Alyssa Stoppa. Special mention also goes out to Emily Bolan and new competitors Alexandra Campbell and Kayley Niemela for their tremendous efforts. |

The North Bay Y Titans Swim Club will be holding two registration evenings for new and returning swimmers. On Wednesday August 27 and Wednesday September 3, from 6 to 8 pm, come to the Lobby of the YMCA and sign up for the Titans.
Swimming is a great sport that promotes athleticism, friendship, and self-discipline. We have swimmers of all ages and abilities on the team, and we have a spot for you. If you can swim 2 lengths of the pool, you are ready to try our Free 2-Week Trial. You can swim with the team, at your ability level, for 2 weeks before deciding.
