Dominique Bouchard of the North Bay Y Titans attended the Summer Nationals in Winnipeg, Manitoba July 16th-20th. This meet brought together Canada’s top swimmers from across the country and was the final preparation competition for Canada’s Olympic Team.

Bouchard represented herself well bringing home four personal best times and landing 5th place overall in the 200 meter backstroke with a time of 2:14.98. Bouchard grabbed a 7th place finish in the 100 meter backstroke with a time of 1:04.66 and tenth place in the 200 meter medley clocking a time of 2:22.86 In the 200 meter backstroke, Bouchard is ranked second for 17year old girls and 6th in Canada overall.

Bouchard will be representing Canada in the North America Challenge Cup at a tri-meet featuring Canada, Mexico and the United States in this upcoming month.
