Five members of the North Bay Y Titans swim team recently traveled to Manitoba to compete in the 2010 Canadian Age Group National Championships which took place July 21st to the 26th in the Manitoba capital.

This national competition, which was held in Winnipeg at the Pan-Am pool, was host to more than 1400 swimmers from across Canada. For Titans Jeremy Sallie, Sydney Hughes, Brittney Pask and Renee Gagnon, this event was their first time competing at this level of competition. 

Jennifer Leckie, already a veteran of national and international meets, rounded out the team and was able to offer advice and support to the younger swimmers. All five team members achieved personal best times. This wraps up a successful 2009/2010 swim season for the Titans. Jeremy Sallie and Brittney Pask will next compete as part of the Northeastern swim team competing at the Ontario Summer Games, which will take place in Sudbury in August.
