Titans Points System - Descriptions of Duties and Points

Points fall into four categories: Executive Points, Swim Meet Points, Fundraising Points, and Other.  All families are required to accumulate points throughout the year by providing time and assistance. Families in their first year with the Titans must earn 100 points; all others must earn 250 points. It is your responsibility to ensure that your points are registered with the Points Manager on an on-going basis. Monthly updated points lists will be available on our website. All points will be tallied by June 15th. (Note: Even if you accumulate 250 points early on, please continue to submit your points to the Points Manager). 

Executive Positions

All Executive Positions require attendance at monthly executive meetings and open Club meetings.  Executives are elected by the Club Membership at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and vote on decisions and policy pertaining the running of the Club. These are volunteer positions.

The Executive Positions are: 

  • President 100 pts
  • Vice-President & 2nd Vice-President (100 points)
  • Treasurer (100 points)
  • Secretary (100 points)
  • Registrar (100 points) 
  • Past-President (100 points)
  • Bingo-Rep (100 points)
  • Two Members-at-large (100 points)
  • Media Contact (100 points)

Swim Meet Positions 

Swim Meet Positions are those duties required for the successful organization and delivery of Meets that the club organizes. 

The Swim Meet positions are:

  • Meet Manager (250 points per meet)
  • Take an Officials Course (25 points per level)
  • Timer/Official at meet (50 points per day)
  • Time Trials Official (25 points)
  • Swimmer Chaperone at Meet (100 points)
  • Officials Food Manager (hosted Titans meet )(150 points per meet)
  • Canteen Manager (hosted Titans meet) (150 points per meet)
  • Canteen or Kitchen Helper (25 points per day 
  • Out-of-Town Meet Manager (250 points) 

Fundraising Activity Positions 

Fundrasing Actitivies contribute to the financial well-being of the club through activities such as organizing Swimathons or a Spaghetti Supper.

The Fundraising Activities are:

  • Bingo-Rep Apprentice (50 points)
  • 4 Bingo Co-ordinators (150 points for the year)
  • 15 Bingo Workers (75 points for the year) 
  • Swimathon Manager (100 points)
  • Tag Day Organizer (100 points)
  • Leaf Day Organizer (100 points)
  • Yard/Garage Sales organizer (100 points)
  • Activity Participant (25 points)
  • Other Fundraiser ( To be determined by Executive)
Any Member can approach the Executive regarding organization of a fundraising event.  The fundraiser should aim to raise at least $500.

Other Point Responsibilities  

These other responsibilities contribute to general health of the club.

The other duties are:

  • Attendance at AGM, Club Meetings (10 points per meeting)
  • Organize Swimmer Social Events (50 points)
  • Webmaster (100 points)
  • Registrar (100 points) 
  • Volunteer Co-ordinator (100 points)
  • Equipment Manager (150 points)
  • Points System Manager (100 points)
